Didn’t do a whole lot today…my sister called and she gave me the names of some places my family is considering for accommodations when they come visit. I think I’m going to go check them out tomorrow.
I met Ashley and her family at the school so we could book our accommodations for Greece. I had spent the majority of my morning looking up hostels and guesthouses and I found some pretty sweet deals. Our night day will be spent in Athens and then the rest of the nights in Santorini (yes, where Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was filmed.) We’ll have to take a plane from Athens to the island which is going to be a bit pricey but we make up for it by staying at an amazing looking guesthouse for only 10 Euro a night. This place looks beautiful and was rated by over a hundred people all of which gave them excellent ratings. It’s a family owned establishment (most of them are in Greece) and they have rooms looking over the city and over the Aegean Sea, a swimming pool, it’s minutes from the beach and the nightlife, moped rental (you better believe I’m doing that), stove, refrigerator and the rating said it was really clean and had a good staff. I’m super pumped for it!
I don’t really know what all we’ll do on the island but it’ll be a good time I’m sure. Of course in Athens we’ll do the Parthenon, Zeus’s Temple and Acropolis…a good days worth of sightseeing. We leave Thursday from Madrid so I’ll have to tell you all how it goes!
