A run-off election for mayor will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1 between Bob Brunkhorst and Fred Ribich.
None of the candidates received over 50 percent.
Brunkhorst received the most votes with 38 percent and 999 votes. Ribich received 32 percent with 843 votes.
The candidates coming in third and fourth were Brent Matthias and Duane Liddle respectively.
Mathias received 21 percent of the votes with 545 votes and Liddle received 236 votes which was nine percent.
Timothy Kangas came out on top in the Waverly Council Ward Five race. Kangas received 63 percent of the votes.
Kangas’s opponent Monty Gritzner received 37 percent of the votes.
Replacing Duane Liddle in the At Large Seat will be Kathy Olson, who received 50 percent of the votes.
The other 50 percent of the votes were split between Kent Farran and Jacqueline Hansen. |
