Yesterday was enjoyable. We went to lunch with all of Pedro’s family at this nice restaurant and I tried a bunch of new things. It was delicious. I wasn’t really even hungry to begin with, but I have this habit of eating anyways…I don’t know…maybe you do it too? But I just ate all this stuff and by the end of the meal I almost unbuttoned mis pantalones. I didn’t eat for the rest of the day!

Following lunch, we went back to the apartment to siesta and then later went to a close family friend’s house. It’s actually the guy who is going to put Pedro to sleep in his surgery. They had a beautiful house and an amazing nativity scene set up in their home. Now, it’s not like what we are thinking…no life-size nativity scene like Domingo (my father) sets up outside the house with all the biblical characters, background music, a stable made of real branches that is stored in our backyard and houses baby bunnies in the spring…no, no…not like that. It’s a miniature nativity display. There are tons of little stores that pop up around the holidays in the plazas where you can buy individual pieces for the scene. This one was awesome. It had fire and running water…it was quite unique and very detailed. Now, I get nervous around things like these because I tend to get clumsy so I kept my distance, admiring from afar, but it was lovely. We exchanged some gifts and then headed home for the night.

I received a huge box of Lindor chocolates. Won't be long before those are gone.
