Pedro and Chanda didn’t get home from the hospital until tonight. Poor Pedro is in a lot of pain…he had a hernia removed and along with that they operated on his thumb. Chanda said that he got in a fight some years ago and it never healed right ha-ha…but he’s a chef, so it’s been bothering him quite a bit lately…I feel really bad, but it’s kind of nice that I’m here to help them out.
As for last night, Eva, their 3 year-old daughter, had a horrible time. She was fine for the first few hours, but as soon as we discussed going to bed she started freaking out for mommy. Now, I’ve babysat a ton in my day, not only my nephew but actually Eva’s cousin in the States was a regular for me and never have I had an experience like this. Chanda warned me and I guess I just didn’t really believe her. But she screamed and cried for like an hour straight. Finally, she calmed down but she ended up waking up several times in the night. Her little sister, Adri, is just 10 months and she was totally fine. But today, everything is fine, just helping out Pedro and Chanda. It’ll be kind of tricky to get out and about in the next few days since Pedro can’t really do much.
Nothing else too exciting…Pedro’s anesthesiologist’s daughter wants me to go out with her and her friends.
She’s 16. I’m gonna be the cool kid tonight. I’ll let you know how it goes.
