As the days fall into a routine, it seems that Wartburg students are constantly on the go. It is through this over-involvement, however, that the caliber and maturity of students is shown, and Wartburg should pride itself in the dedication and passion of its students.
What an interesting week it was for everybody at Wartburg College. One thousand students marched to President Hamm’s house and asked him to declare an Outfly.
A resolution, proposed by Brian Jones, was passed unanimously at the faculty meeting Thursday that moved to express faculty support for students’ concerns and the energy in which the students exhibited them Wednesday during “Outfly for a Cause.”
One-third of the yearly average of false alarms have occurred in less than a month. Students are becoming disgruntled about the nuisance. Faculty warn of the danger of apathy to the alarms.
As the mayoral election approaches, it is time for students to realize their role in the Waverly community, learn about the candidates and place their vote.
Apparently I have my priorities completely screwed up.
