Homecoming & Family Weekend scheduling

Is your department or group hosting a reunion, reception, or open house during Homecoming & Family Weekend 2017? The Office of Alumni and Parent Relations is working on the schedule for Oct. 12-15 and needs to hear from you about those plans to ensure they are included on the master schedule. Please email alumni@wartburg.edu by Tuesday, June 20, with details.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

More properties for rent
The college has additional properties available for rent and has added a link at Wartburg Properties for Rent so the general public can also see the properties that are available. Some of our properties allow pets (with additional charges and responsibilities for the tenant), which is noted on appropriate listings. All these properties are well-maintained and very close to campus. If you or anyone you know is interested in renting one of these properties, please contact Laura Davis, 352-8318, to arrange a walk-through. The rental application can be found on the website as well.
Reports now available
The Winter/May 2016-17 Grade Point Average and 1993-2017 Student Credit Unit (SCU) reports are now available on InfoCenter. Please direct questions to Edie Waldstein.
Bremer Avenue construction update
The date to close down the four lanes of traffic on Bremer Avenue from 20th Street to the middle of the Casey’s property has changed to June 5. The 20th Street intersection will turn into a three-way stop. An access road will be constructed to allow access to Waverly Child Care and Preschool on Bremer Avenue during the road project. The work near the bridge continues to move forward, businesses on the east side are being connected to the new main, and the paving downtown will start very soon. The Juice summer schedule
The Faculty/Staff Juice will publish every other week during the summer, with the next edition on June 19. The Juice will resume weekly emails on Sept. 5.
PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Shredded paper recycling
When recycling shredded paper, please place it in the single stream recycling containers, making sure it is in a clear bag, specifically labeled “Shredding.” This request is being made by our recycling vendor.
Wartburg garden
The Wartburg garden, located across the street from Lohe Hall, still has beds open for members of the Wartburg community who will be in the area this summer. Those who “adopt” a bed in the garden are expected to volunteer 1-2 hours per month maintaining the garden beds for the college, use organic practices, and maintain the weeds and any overhang in your bed. Anne Duncan, sustainability coordinator, can advise you on how to plant, when to plant, and how to maintain your plants. Email Duncan if you are interested.
