The Juice (SL&CM) - Sept. 5

SPIRITUAL LIFE & CAMPUS MINISTRY

Sunday Morning Worship — Sunday worship resumes Sept. 11 at 10:30 a.m. in Wartburg Chapel. This year 9/11 falls on a Sunday, so as we gather around Scripture, prayer, and Holy Communion, Wartburg Students for Peace & Justice will lead us in a prayer vigil for healing and help for individuals and communities impacted by violence and encourage us all to work together to end hatred. Dr. Karen Black, college organist, and the Wartburg Choir, directed by Dr. Lee Nelson, will provide music leadership, and Pastor Ramona Bouzard will preach. Spiritual Life & Campus Ministry at Wartburg is an inclusive Christian community, and all are invited to the Lord’s Table, just as all are sent out to live the good news of God’s love.

Weekday Chapel Services — Weekday services are held 10:15-10:35 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Wartburg Chapel and are a brief opportunity to gather with students, staff, and faculty to reflect on God and faith. They are led by students, faculty, staff, the college pastors, and clergy from area churches. Upcoming messages will be given by:

   • Wednesday, Sept. 7 — Pastor Brian Beckstrom

   • Friday, Sept. 9 — Caleb Davidson ‘17

   • Monday, Sept. 12 — Dr. Zak Montgomery, associate professor in Spanish

Sanctuary — Sanctuary is a holy space in the midst of your busy life where you can recharge and renew. Expect a relaxed time of Bible study, fellowship, worship band music, prayers, and communion. Sanctuary takes place at 9 p.m. each Wednesday evening in the Chapel Commons (basement). Come at 8:45 for snacks and fellowship.

Worship services streamed live — Wish you could sit in on the weekday chapel services on campus? Now you can! Go to www.wartburg.edu/knightvision to watch a live stream of chapel services on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:15 to 10:35 a.m. and Sunday Worship at 10:30 a.m.
