Donate to the Holiday Shoppe –– Pick an ornament from the Christmas tree in the chapel narthex, Den, Mensa, or The W and buy a present for a child of that age. There are miscellaneous gift ideas on the back of each tag. This annual community event provides less-fortunate families and children with holiday gifts they can't afford. Donations can be dropped off at the social work office in Old Main or at the various Christmas trees around campus. Sponsored by the social work department.

Attention all low brass enthusiasts — You are invited to join the Jingle Jangle Brass Choir, under the direction of Dr. Craig Hancock, director of bands. The JJBC was formed in 2014 to have fun making live music while raising money for charities during the holidays season. All ages and ability levels are welcome for these ad hoc performances. The group's first appearance will be at the Christmas on Main celebration Thursday, Dec. 10, 6-8 p.m. For more information, contact craig.hancock@wartburg.edu.

Mail Center holiday information — Please plan your shipping so you receive items prior to Friday, Dec. 18, and after Friday, Jan. 1. Recycling update — Toilet paper is made from items recycled through single-stream collection. One item that is not accepted in our single-stream bins is glass, because who wants glass in their toilet paper? Glass should be placed in the tan “glass only" recycling bin next to the blue recycling bins outside residence halls, or in the small blue containers in Löhe or Grossmann recycling rooms.

Students may bring their bicycles to Campus Security for winter storage beginning Monday, Nov. 30. There is no charge for this service, but students must agree to leave the bike in storage until spring (depending on the weather), normally the end of March or early April. They must also have the bike registered with Campus Security. If the bike is not registered, it can be registered prior to being placed in storage. No appointment is necessary. For more information, email campus.security@wartburg.edu or drop by the security office.

Recipes from Home — Students, faculty, and staff are asked to share their favorite recipes from home to be considered for the 2015-16 Mensa menu! Please email your recipes for entrees, salads, ethnic dishes, vegan entrees or sides, and desserts to shelly.geweke@wartburg.edu or drop them in the Mensa suggestion box by Friday, Jan. 25. Don’t forget to include your name and contact information for verification. Recipes must be something that you have had before and really enjoyed. The recipes that are chosen will be taste-tested in Mensa, and the student body will vote for their favorites.
