Table Tents
Table tents are available in the Mensa, Konditorei, and Den-Rittersaal for campus groups to use in promoting their organization or event. Organizations will need to contact Shelly in Dining Services at 352-8303 prior to their event to reserve the table tent space. This is done on a first come, first served basis. The flyers must be the correct size (4"x 8") or they will not be posted. A total of 110 one-sided flyers will be needed to fill table tents in the Mensa, Konditorei, and Den-Rittersaal. Table tents are put out on Mondays and Thursdays and will be posted Monday through Wednesday or Thursday through Sunday. Free laying flyers will not be allowed and will be removed immediately. 

Bulletin Board
Several bulletin boards are available for campus groups to use in promoting their organization or event in the Student Center:

  • First Floor Foyer - open to any student organization on campus
  • Second Floor Mensa Hallway - maintained by ETK, should contact them before using
  • Mensa - maintained by Dining Services, not available to student organizations

To reserve a space please contact the Marketing and Communications Office at Ext 8648.

Annual Survey
Dining customer surveys are conducted each year. This gives students an opportunity to rate dining services and to give menu and service suggestions. This information is then used as new menu items and dining concepts are developed.

Candlelight Dinners
Candlelight Dinners are hosted by student organizations, and are arranged through Dining Services. The dinners include a short presentation by the hosts, followed by a three course meal; a sample menu can be found located under the “Meal Menus” tab on the left. The meal is served restaurant style, with waiter attendants.   

Candlelight Dinners are designed to enhance communication between students, faculty, staff, and administration. The dinners provide an opportunity to enjoy stimulating conversation, in addition to offering a more formal dining experience. These dinners are promoted in the Mensa by the hosting organization in the days prior to the dinner.

Special diets can be accommodated.  If you are on a special diet, please let us know when signing up. 
Accommodations include: vegetarian, peanut allergy, lactose intolerance, gluten-free, low fat and diabetic. Please let us know if you need any other accommodations and we will do our best to meet your needs.  

These dinners are open to all students. Faculty and staff members are by invitation only. The cost to on-board students is $2.00. The cost for off-board students is $10.00. To sign up, you must bring your student ID to the Candlelight Sign Up that is held from 5:15 pm - 7:00 pm in Mensa on the Wednesday and Thursday before the Candlelight Dinner.
